Toronto's pick
But seriously, I think scouting is so much better now that drafting a lemon is pretty tough to do.
I think Forsberg will be a good player, but there are a lot of people that seem to think he'll be an impact player. I'm not sold. |

I could see Gillis trying to move up in the draft. He's got a few cards to play, that would not surprise me. Still, I have a feeling the RL trade is going to drag out for a while. It would be great to get it over with, and move on...but I think Gillis is going to slowplay it. |

Better to wait and get the deal you want.
Curious , how do you see Gillis moving up? I am not sure of what we could offer. This draft sounds like it doesn't have enough talent to make a serious push. |

Raymond, Ballard, and a 2nd (2013) should get a top 8 pick right? |

If Lu is traded to the Leafs and the Leafs' 2nd round pick (35th) is included in the deal, who does Vancouver pick at #35? |

I am sure if Scooby was to say Gardiner Schenn and your first he would get banned again ,but I have a feeling he is thinking it. |

If the 35th is part of the package for Lu, I could see Gillis packaging to the 26th and the 35th to move up. Don't know how high he could get with that, but it could be an option |

I could see that too. I imagine it would be in the 15-20 range.
In a similar trade last season, Burke traded the 30th + 39th for the 22nd and drafted Biggs. |

Still rather pick Colton Sissons at 26 if he's still on the board, he's the kind of player Vancouver needs more of in the system. A strong hard-nosed two-way grinder with leadership and heart, especially since he can play C and is a natural RW. But he'll probably be taken between 15-20 so... |

Luongo to TO for 2012 1st, 2012 2nd and 2013 1st... - 1970vintage
I think I'd go down to Burke's office personally and choke him out with is own already loosened tie if that trade ever happened! |

Shocked, actually!
Burke could EASILY have Schneider for about half of that! |
